One of the Grey Cup's oldest traditions continues in Vancouver with fans of the Calgary Stampeders once again leading a horse into the lobby of a hotel in the host city. In 1948, an overzealous Stampeders fan rode a horse into the lobby of the Royal York Hotel, one of the fanciest hotels in downtown Toronto. Calgary won its first of eight Grey Cups that year and Stampeders fans have recreated the scene every season since.
