ϳԹ respects your right to privacy and recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information that may be provided to us by individual users or viewers of ϳԹ content online. We also may collect navigational information, including information about the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions taken in connection with the site.

Third-party sources

ϳԹ, or third parties on our behalf, may also collect non-personally identifiable information via the use of cookies. We use the term “devices” to refer collectively to computers and mobile devices, as well as the internet browsers and other applications on your devices that interact with the internet. ϳԹ engages in cross device data collection which refers to the process of collecting data from devices that have been determined through statistical analysis to be linked or related. Our partners whom we employ to provide this service use cross device data to provide interest-based advertising services to our customers and to deliver tailored ads to users across multiple devices.

ϳԹ uses your personal data collected through our websites for purposes described in the privacy policy or otherwise disclosed to you.

ϳԹ will use the personally identifiable information directly submitted by you solely for the purpose for which you have provided it, whether it be to subscribe to a service, request information, order a reprint of an article or photograph, etc.

We will only use and disclose the credit card information submitted by you as necessary to process your payment transaction or collect payment.

With regard to non-personally identifiable information, ϳԹ is currently using and has contracted with third party vendors to track and analyze usage and volume statistical information from our users to administer our content in order to improve our products or services. We may also perform statistical analysis of user behavior in order to measure interest in our online products and services for product development purposes.

ϳԹ will not disclose any personally identifiable information about our current or former users to anyone, except as permitted or required by law, or as described herein. ϳԹ will endeavor to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality of the information that we collect online.

Location of personal data and privacy shield

Personal data collected ϳԹ may be stored and processed in your country or region, or in any other country where we or our affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers maintain facilities. Currently we primarily use data centres in Canada. The storage locations are chosen in order to operate efficiently, to improve performance, and to create redundancies in order to protect the data in the event of an outage or other problem. We take steps designed to ensure that the data we collect under this Privacy Policy is processed according to the provisions of this Privacy Policy and applicable law wherever the data is located.

Sharing of your personal data

We may share your personal data with service providers who perform services on our behalf. For example, we may hire other companies to handle the processing of payments, to provide data storage, to host websites, to fulfil orders and shipments, to assist in direct marketing, analyse your interests and preferences and to conduct audits, etc. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal data they need to provide the service. Social media

On some pages, we allow you to share personal data with third parties, such as social networks like Facebook. In these instances, you are agreeing to the data being shared and the shared data is subject to the privacy policies of such third parties. You may review, update or correct certain of the personal information that is stored in your user account in our Services (if you have one) by using the “Contact Us” information below. Your right to delete information is subject to our records retention policies.

You can opt out of our promotional e-mails by clicking the opt-out/unsubscribe link within the e-mail you receive. The Services are not intended for use by children. If, however, we unknowingly collect and use information from children under the age of 13, we will comply with industry guidelines and applicable laws.

International usage

If you are located outside of Canada, please note that the information you provide to us will be transferred to Canada. By using this website, you consent to this transfer.
