MONTREAL - ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø offensive lineman Kristian Matte is returning for a 14th season with the Montreal Alouettes.
The six-foot-four, 296-pound Matte signed a one-year deal Thursday with the defending Grey Cup champions.
Only quarterback Anthony Calvillo (16 seasons) and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø offensive lineman Scott Flory (15) played longer with Montreal.
Former tight end Peter Dalla Riva, who was inducted into the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Football Hall of Fame in 1993, also played 14 years with the Alouettes.
Matte appeared in Montreal's 18 regular-season and three playoff games last year.
He has suited up for 185 contests since 2010, tying him with former kicker Don Sweet for ninth in franchise history.
Saskatchewan Roughriders sign ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø offensive lineman Blake to one-year extension
REGINA -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø offensive lineman Philip Blake to a one-year contract extension Thursday.
The six-foot-three, 310-pound Toronto native appeared in six regular-season games last year after recovering from a pre-season injury. Blake, 38, earned a Grey Cup ring in 2022 with the Toronto Argonauts before joining the Riders for a second time.
Blake was also with Saskatchewan in 2018-19.
He is entering his ninth season in Canada, having also spent time with Montreal (2015-18). The Alouettes selected Blake in the third round, No. 23 overall, in the 2011 CFL draft.
Blake was taken in the fourth round, No. 108 overall, in the 2012 NFL draft and spent time with the Broncos and Arizona Cardinals before signing with Montreal.
